USER SAFETY IS OUR PRIORITY

The safety of all LISA users is a major priority for Teachplus.  We have set up a number of systems to protect users and their data.  At the same time, users can use LISA in ways that it isn't intended for.  In designing LISA, we've considered a number of possible misuse scenarios:

  • An inappropriate resource or question
A teacher may create a resource or question that isn't appropriate in a K-12 setting.  Because resources and questions are shared with all users, we must set a standard that is acceptable to all.  Read Report an Inappropriate Question to read more about this.

  • An inappropriate student answer
We currently don't block students from writing inappropriate responses.  We are considering options for allowing teachers (schools) to have this as an option when they create a test.

  • A concerning student answer
A student may write an answer that suggests the teacher or school should be concerned about their wellbeing or safety.  We're developing systems for identifying this and alerting the teacher or school.

If you have any questions about anything on LISA, please contact us immediately at support@teachplus.ai and we will contact you ASAP.
